Can a registered sex offender work in a home improvement store?

A friend of mine told me she just found out that her co-worker molested his children. Are there restrictions on where they can work??

Yeah just nowhere around kids, such as schools, daycares, childrens clothing store. If anything, a home improvement store sounds perfectly appropriate, so long as his employer knows about his past convictions.

Don't judge the guy completely though, there's Various degrees of being a sex offender. One guy got convicted for being a sex offender because he tried to grab a kid that ran across the street with a green light, and he nearly killed her, he just wanted to grab her to yell at her at how stupid she was, now the guy is a registered sex offender. So really it depends on various degrees. Also, you could be labeled a sex offender in certain states if you get caught urinating in public(indecent exposure). So the whole sex offender thing is kind of over labeled.

But if this guy really did molest his children, and his conviction was 1st degree felony, then I'd keep an eye on him when kids are around in the store. Other than that, no worries, home improvement stores are generally filled with adults and manly men.
